Wine and Dine Hawaii

Dear Jo,
I HAVE HEARD THAT DINING IN HAWAII CAN BE QUITE EXPENSIVE. WE WILL BE STAYING IN HONOLULU. CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA OF HOW MUCH A MEAL COSTS IN HAWAII. I KNOW IT DEPENDS ON WHAT RESTAURANT YOU GO TOO. SO TRY TO GIVE ME AN AVERAGE PRICE FOR BOTH EXPENSIVE AND MODERATELY PRICED RESTAURANTS. THANKS

Regards,
LORI

Dining can be very expensive ( $30 –45 per entrée) but that’s only at the fine dining restaurants. There are some wonderful places with amazing deals. In Waikiki one of my favorite steak houses D.K’s has a $50 steak dinner that’s fabulous value and Tiki’s Grill and Bar in Waikiki has entrees around $13 that are really good.
You can find a ton of really great mom and pop places and really great asian food too. Look on our website under asian foods or Thai or Chinese and you’ll find good stuff.
The best burger in town is at Keawe Grill and it will cost you about $6 – well worth seeking out.
